The Biggest Landscape Show Around
Are you going to L’Ville this year?
Landscapes ’19 and GIE are the place to be if you want to grow your business and Louisville itself has a great vibe.
This is the largest green industry show of the year complete with educational sessions and opportunities to talk with peers. There is nothing else quite like it.
So, what should you plan to do to get the most out of your time in the Derby City?
Go!
Well, the first step is to go and be there. If you have already been to Landscapes then you know the benefits. If you have never been, make sure to be there. It is well worth it.
Learn
This year there are well over 30 educational sessions with topics ranging from Developing A Successful Customer Survey System to Top 5 Marketing Strategies For Growth In 2020. On top of that, there are ticketed events put on by some of our great industry consultants. In addition, make sure to register for Breakfast of Champions, an opportunity to do a deep dive on one subject with ten of your peers.
Network
One of the hands down most valuable opportunities in attending Landscapes is the opportunity to network with other green industry owners and managers. It will not take long to realize that any problem you are facing in your operation, everyone else has already faced the same issue at some point in the career. You are not alone. Someone has solved it and will most likely tell you how (once you buy them a beer).
Reconnect
Landscapes is an excellent time to reconnect with old friends and strengthen relationships. We are an industry of wonderful, caring people. Look around the room at the welcome reception and you will see what true friendship looks like.
Shop
GIE (Green Industry Expo) is the sales floor portion of the week. There are literally hundreds of vendors showing off their latest products for you. Ask questions, ride a new mower or loader, discuss price and financing. It is all here in one place.
Network Some More
The networking doesn’t stop at the end of the day. Louisville has a great nightlife. Head to Third Street to take in the free concerts with new friends. The conversations do not stop, except during sips of bourbon.
Enjoy
Above all else, enjoy your time at Landscapes and GIE. It is a great week to be a landscaper.
