Noted for is narrow fastigiate form when young, Carpinus betulus 'Fastigiata' features oval-shaped green leaves that turn attractive shades of yellow to orange in the fall. Plants are monoecious with yellow male catkins and female green catkins which give way to clusters of 3-lobed bracts.
